Anti Aggression CCTV System
Being followed by a car or vehicle can be an intimidating experience, especially if you are heading home or to a personal destination. The person following you may have no other intention than to cause stress and fear, making the situation even more distressing. This subject has risen its head again and it is probably due to the fact that some individuals think it is "OK" to act in a way that allows them to put fear into someone by intimidating them by following them. We here at Quell get regularly someone asking us about personal safety and ideas on what to do when followed. Being Followed (Walking)
This subject does come across to some staff as "Big Brother" watching their movements and many staff members have said to us here at Quell that they don't like it being monitored. However, we also state during our training sessions and meetings "Why" worry as what are you doing or not doing, if you think you have management that is doing nothing but watching your movements all day, perhaps you might need a change of job and finally from our experience when someone knows where you are in the event of an incident the support comes quicker. We ask those managers or staff responsible for staff safety/movements to take a look at their current methods and see what can be changed or modified to improve this vital system. Booking in and out has been taken for granted by some and the main issue is when something does occur ... hindsight is a brilliant thing. Importance of Booking In & Out
I think we can all agree that when you put the subject of Knives and Crimes together it installs a degree of fear. Those who have followed us here at Quell will know we are always trying to look on the horizon to see changes in risks and also new risks that face our clients. if a lot of you remember we were talking a lot about the concerns around "Nitros Oxide" a year ago and not bragging, but we have been proven right by the amount of incidents we have become aware of connected with this type of substance from our pool of clients. Knife Crime is becoming a more common subject within the media and it is also an increasing subject we are experiencing with our retail clients even though we are a very small voice in a field that does not want to listen to us, we will continue to keep chipping away. Knife Crime in Workplace Violence
Have you seen someone walking with Headphones, a Hat, a Hoodie or a Woolley Hat without being aware of their surroundings? Or is that you ... within this video you will see that we are trying to start a conversation to promote personal safety even when not at work. Whistle - Personal Safety Equipment
Martyn's Law is to ensure premises in the United Kingdom are prepared and protected against terrorist attacks, therefore also designed to help in reducing the impact of any type of terrorist incident. The Bill is one part of the Government's wider counter-terrorism strategy. The Bill is for Martyn Hett who was killed alongside 21 others in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack in 2017. His mother Figen Murray and family have worked tirelessly to get this through the government. This video is only a brief look into the subject and a few main ideas that you will need to know to ensure that you are compliant with the law and also have taken steps to protect your staff, customers and alike.
